Earl Epps (* 1930 in Texas ) is an American country musician .

Life

Epps started his career in 1956 in Houston , Texas , where he released the record Be Bop Blues / There's Two of Us Waiting on the small label Minor Records . Both tracks were written by Joe Collins, whom Epps met on a daily basis. Epps was a popular musician in dance halls with his country band Sounds of Country in the 1950s and 1960s and performed with other musicians such as Earl Aycock , Link Davis , Kitty Wells , Johnnie and Jack and many more. He continued to release records on Stoneway, Dot , Space and other labels until the 1970s .

Epps still performs with his band around Houston today.
