Earl of Roscommon
Earl of Roscommon was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Ireland .
Award
The title was created on August 5, 1622 for James Dillon, 1st Baron Dillon . He had already been awarded the title Baron Dillon , of Kilkenny West in the County of Westmeath , on January 24, 1619, also in the Peerage of Ireland .
Both titles expired when the 12th Earl died on May 15, 1850.
