The East Mamprusi District is a district of the North East Region in northern Ghana . In the east, the district shares borders with the neighboring state of Togo .

The district is named after the Mamprusi people . Bimoba and Konkomba also live in the eastern part of the district . There are also smaller groups of Mossi , Talensi , Hausa , Fulbe and Chakosi .
