The Eastern Mediterranean University , Turkish: Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), English: Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), is a university in Famagusta (Gazimağusa) in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, founded in 1979 and named university in 1986 .

The university has over 14,000 students. The president is Ufuk Taneri.
