Eastgate Basin Park

The Eastgate Basin Park is a 3.3-hectare urban park in Salem in Marion County in the US state of Oregon . It is located on Hawthorne Avenue Northeast off Interstate 5 .

The recreation area includes a baseball field , a playground , picnic areas, bicycle and hiking trails. The park was given to the city by Marion County in 1965 for expansion and maintenance. The green area was mainly designed for young people in the neighboring neighborhood.

The Public Works Department acquired another 2.8 hectares north of the park to set up a retention basin.
