The Ebenezer Place in the Scottish port city of Brunswick applies with a length of two meters and six centimeters, according to Guinness World Records as the shortest street in the world. Ebenezer Place is only part of the narrowest side of the Mackays Hotel building, where the entrance to “No. 1 Bistro ”is located.

The hotel was built in 1883 by Alexander Sinclair after he returned to Scotland after doing business in the USA. The local administration instructed him to put up a street sign on the short side of the building, since it was assumed that a street would pass by. The name "Ebenezer Place" was only registered as a street by the local administration in 1887 after an entrance door had been installed there.

Until 2006, when Ebenezer Place was included in the Guinness Book, Elgin Street, a little over five meters long in Bacup, England, was the shortest street in the world. The classification of Ebenezer Place as a street is not entirely undisputed.

Ebenezer Place is at the point where Union Street coming from the south joins River Street, which runs from southeast to northwest . Just a few meters to the northwest, River Street joins a roundabout where it meets Cliff Road , Station Road and Bridge Street .
