Eberhard Huebner

Eberhard Huebner (born May 14, 1945 ) is a former German badminton player .

Eberhard "Ebs" Hübner had his first successes in the junior division at the GDR championship in 1961, where he was runner-up in the men's doubles with Rainer Claußnitzer. In singles he won silver at the same event. After five years without medals, he was runner-up at the GDR championships in mixed with Brigitte Lehnert in 1966 . Three years later he fought for his greatest sporting success with the GDR championship title in mixed, this time with Karin Kattner at his side. In the two following years he again secured two medals at GDR student championships , after which it was quiet around Hübner in the sporting field.

Eberhard Hübner now lives in Elsterwerda .
