Eberhard Petersen
Eberhard Petersen (born May 20, 1955 in Bonn ) is a German administrative lawyer and was President of the Federal Central Tax Office until October 31, 2018 .
education and profession
After studying law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and completing his legal clerkship at the Cologne Higher Regional Court , he first worked in the state tax administration in the area of the Cologne Regional Finance Directorate. Since 1988 he has worked in the Federal Ministry of Finance, initially as a consultant and from 1993 as head of department in the tax department and in the management area of the ministry.
In 2008 he was appointed Vice President and Head of the Cross-Sectional Department of the Federal Central Tax Office. From April 2011 to October 2018 he was Gabriele Hahn's successor as President of the Federal Central Tax Office.
