Eberhard Sohns

Eberhard son (* 3. September 1936 in Berlin , † 2. January 2017 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

Eberhard Sohns attended secondary school and then the secondary vocational school . From 1964 to 1967 he attended the mining engineering school, which he graduated as an engineer grad. (Later post-graduate degree in engineering). He then went through mining professions as a squire, tusker, steiger, driving climber, upper climber as well as main department head and speaker.

Eberhard Sohns had been a member of the SPD since 1970. For a time he was deputy local chairman and from 1991 first chairman of the SPD local association Kamp-Lintfort , federal delegate and member of the Wesel sub-district executive committee .

Sohns was a member of IG Bergbau , the German Settler Association and the German Lifesaving Society as well as a member of the workers' welfare organization . Until 2005 he was the first chairman of the support association "Russlandhilfe Kamp-Lintfort und Umgebung eV"

From May 31, 1990 to June 1, 2000, Eberhard Sohns was a directly elected member of the 11th and 12th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 062 Wesel I.
