Eberhard Wilms

Eberhard Wilms (* 1940 in Königsberg ) is a German historian and textbook author.

Life

Eberhard Wilms grew up in Königsberg and Dresden, was a member of the Dresden Kreuzchor from 1950-1958 , went to West Berlin after graduating from high school and went to West Berlin to study history, German and political science in Tübingen and Munich.

As a high school teacher, he worked on the teaching work, questions about history, first published by Heinz Dieter Schmid . He published the new edition of the 4th volume with the subtitle "The 20th Century". Before 1989 he was a frequent speaker at advanced training conferences of the All-German Institute . Further school and other historical works have been published since 1990.

From 1965 to 1990 he was married to Gunhild Wilms , with whom he developed historical didactic works. His son Jörn is professor for astrophysics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Award

For Germany since 1945: occupied - divided - divided - united , Eberhard Wilms was awarded 2nd prize in the 1999 authors' competition "40 years of German division - 10 years of the fall of the Berlin Wall" by the Ministries of Education in Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
