Eberwin von Kransberg

Eberwin von Kransberg (life dates not known) was a knight from the lower aristocratic family of those von Kransberg and Burggraf von Friedberg .

possession

In 1220 he was entrusted with half of the villages Wiesbach , Wernborn and Ober- and Niederholzberg by Emperor Friedrich II . To secure his property, he began building a castle in Kransberg .

He had a crane in his coat of arms , which gave the name to the family and the lordship of Cransberg.

Offices

1220/21 he was burgrave of the Reichsburg Friedberg , 1227/28 Reichsschultheiß of Frankfurt am Main .
