Eckart Schibber

Eckart Schibber (born April 29, 1938 ; † January 3, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German presenter and journalist . He was a long-time moderator of the health magazine QUIVIVE at Sender Freies Berlin .

Life

His mother died when he was 6 years old. His father then marries his sister-in-law Ruth. She died in 1957.

After studying journalism , Schibber did numerous internships in radio and television . Before Schibber became a permanent editor at SFB -Hörfunk in 1976 , he worked as an author , reporter and freelance editor from 1961 . From 1993 to 1999 he was the first chairman of the medical journalists' working group - Club of Science Journalists. V.

Shortly after his retirement in 2003, he was diagnosed with leukemia and Parkinson's disease.

Honors

  • 1999 Honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Human Medicine at the Free University of Berlin.
