The buildings at Eckartstrasse 4/5, 24 and 25-27 are parts of the Eckartstrasse development, which were built as rows of buildings across Leipziger Strasse. After the old architecture was destroyed in April 1945, they were built in the 1950s as part of the rebuilding of the city. The three blocks are registered under the number 08973334 object cultural heritage in the monument list of the State Office for Conservation axes .

The listed buildings on Eckartstrasse (house numbers 4/5, 24 and 25-27) were erected in the first half of the 1950s as part of the national construction project . After the end of the GDR, they became the property of the municipal housing and management company (EWV) and were renovated at the end of the 1990s.

Eckartstrasse 4/5

The three-storey block at Eckartstrasse 4/5 is built across the residential and commercial building Leipziger Strasse 57 and has a similar design. The slightly curved construction along the west side of the road Eckart has two entrances, in the style of the divisions at the house Leipziger Strasse 57 with a Putznutung are provided. The entrances and their stairwells protrude slightly from the facade and end in a simple tail gable , which in turn takes up the eaves . The entrance sections close at the top with a simple cornice. The two triple window bezels of the stairwell emerge again and are highlighted in color. Below the tail gable is a circular ox eye . Between the two house entrances there is a courtyard entrance with a segment arch and keystone . The house is covered by a hipped roof.

Eckartstrasse 24

The three-storey residential building at Eckartstrasse 24 is located in the corner of the part of Eckartstrasse that opens up the inner courtyard to Rollestrasse. The building is designed according to the block Eckartstrasse 25-27, which continues the perimeter development.

Eckartstrasse 25-27

The residential building at Eckartstrasse 25-27 is an extension to Leipziger Strasse 58 and runs slightly curved along the east side of Eckartstrasse. While the entrance area of ​​Eckartstrasse 27 is simple with its simply profiled door socket, entrances 25 and 26 with their stairwells clearly stand out from the cubature. Cornices are built in above the entrance area and just below the roof edge. As in the opposite block 4/5, the bevels of the triple windows of the stairwell stand out again and are also contrasted in color. The flaps of the apartment windows stand out discreetly from the facade with a slight profile. With the exception of a few skylights, the attached hipped roof manages without superstructures.

Between buildings 24 and 25-27, the street and the two sidewalks are spanned by a pergola on eight pillars.
