Eckhard Höpfner (born September 1, 1960 ) is a former German soccer player. He was a defender .

Höpfner played a game for SC Herford in the 2nd Bundesliga North in the 1980/81 season : On the 42nd and final day of the match, when Herford lost 3-0 at Alemannia Aachen , he was 0 in the 60th minute when the score was 0: 2 came on for Bodo Wehmeier .

This game was Höpfner's only game in a professional league. At the end of the season, Herford was 16th in the table.
