The Ecology Glacier (English for Ökologiegletscher , Polish Lodowiec Ekologii ) is a glacier on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows in a north-easterly direction to Suszczewski Cove , which it reaches north of Llano Point .
Participants in a Polish Antarctic expedition in 1980 named it after the Institute of Ecology of the Polish Academy of Sciences , which at the time operated the nearby Arctowski station . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred on 8 July 2003, the Polish designation into English.
