Andrei Kaminsky

Andrej Kaminsky (* 1964 in Helsinki ) is a German actor and acting teacher.

Life

Andrej Kaminsky is the son of a diplomatic couple who met while studying in Moscow. His mother is Russian. The parents lived and worked for several years in Helsinki, Kaminsky's hometown. He grew up in Berlin and attended a school in the Berlin district of Pankow . From 1985 to 1989 Kaminsky successfully studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . 1992 followed a vocal training in musical with Vicky Hall.

Kaminsky made his debut as a stage actor in 1989 at the Rudolstadt Theater . This was followed by engagements at the Kleist Theater in Frankfurt (Oder) , the Berliner Ensemble and the Nordhausen Theater . From 1995 to 1998 he directed the children's and youth theater. Kaminsky then moved to the Kassel State Theater , to which he was a member until 2002. Other stations included the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz , the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Schlosstheater Celle , the Maxim Gorki Theater and the Theater Konstanz . In Leipzig he played drama from 2007 to 2013 , with the beginning of the 2013/14 season Kaminsky moved to the Bonn Theater . He has been a member of the Augsburg Theater ensemble since the 2017/18 season .

In 2000 Andrej Kaminsky founded the vocal ensemble Harmonisch & Co. He leads theater workshops with children and the disabled as well as in prison. Since 2005 he has also lectured at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Babelsberg Film University .

Kaminsky was first seen on television in 1989 in an episode of the Polizeiruf 110 series , and since then he has also worked sporadically in front of the camera, often as a guest actor in various crime series.

Andrej Kaminsky's first wife was a Polish woman, whose family name he took at the wedding. With her he has a now grown son. He is currently married to the director Mareike Mikat , with whom he also has a child who was born in April 2015. Kaminsky lives in Berlin.
