Kate Allen (* 1985 in Dublin ) is an Irish opera singer with a mezzo-soprano voice .

biography

Kate Allen studied singing at the Conservatory of Music & Drama in Ireland and at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco and was a member of the Opera Santa Barbara Opera Studio and the Merola Opera Program in 2013. During her studies and in the opera studio, she worked on roles such as Romeo in I Capuleti ei Montecchi , the title role of Giulio Cesare and Amneris in Aida . Engagements followed at various festivals in the USA, Ireland and Germany. a. as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly , Angelina in La Cenerentola , Conception in L'Heure Espagnole and Maddalena in Rigoletto . She has been a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Augsburg since the 2018/19 season .
