Sidus

Coordinates: 37 ° 54 '48 "  N , 23 ° 3' 28"  O Sidus or Sidous ( ancient Greek Σιδοῦς ) was an ancient place between Corinth and Krommyon . It was probably near Cape Susaki. Whether it was directly on the Saronic Gulf or, as Ernst Curtius suspected, more inland has not yet been clarified. It was part of the Corinthian sphere of influence.

393/2 BC During the Corinthian War , the Spartan military leader Praxitas took the place by storm. The Athenian general Iphikrates won 392/1 BC. BC Sidus back again. Sidus was famous for its apples.
