Roman Poboinyi

Roman Poboinyj , Ukrainian Роман Побойний Roman Pobojnyj , also Roman Poboiny (* 1990 in Shostka , Sumy Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Pobojnyj was a student at the children's art school in Shostka and began studying medicine in his hometown. In August 2009 Pobojnyj won second place in the soloists, singers aged over 16 competition at the IV regional festival of the Ukrainian song Borys Hmyrja in Lebedyn . After graduating from art school, he studied singing at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev between 2010 and 2015 . After completing his vocal studies, in 2015 he began a master's degree in opera at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart , where he sang “Pagen” in Rigoletto and “Don Curzio” in Figaro's wedding in 2016/17 at the Stuttgart Opera .

He has been a permanent member of the Augsburg Theater since the 2017/18 season .
