Maik Priebe

Maik Priebe (* 1977 in Schwerin ) is a German theater and film director .

Life

After graduating from the Goethe-Gymnasium Schwerin in 1996, Priebe worked as an intern, prompter , assistant director and stage manager at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin before completing his directorial studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Encounters with Martin Meltke, Peter Zadek , Christoph Marthaler , Manfred Karge and Christoph Schlingensief , among others , shaped his career. He founded the Agon Theater , which temporarily had its permanent venue in Schwerin . He realized works at the Staatstheater Kassel , the Schauspiel Essen , the Theater Ingolstadt , the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar , the Staatstheater Nürnberg , the Neuen Theater Halle , the Städtische Bühnen Münster , the Staatstheater Augsburg , the dramagraz , the Maxim-Gorki-Theater , Hans -Otto-Theater Potsdam and at the Vienna Burgtheater .

Maik Priebe also works as a guest lecturer at the School of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch" Berlin , the Academy of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig , the University of Arts in Berlin and at the Academy of Music and Theater in Rostock .

As part of the Berlin Theatertreffen 2004, he took part in the Young Stage Members' Forum.

He was a scholarship holder at Schloss Solitude in cooperation with the Staatsschauspiel Stuttgart.

In collaboration with the NDR , Maik Priebe realized various directorial work for documentaries.

Awards

Maik Priebe was awarded the 2008 Günther Rühle Prize for his diploma production Sallinger by Bernard Marie Koltés at the bat studio theater .

For Osborne's Blick zurück im Zorn at the Staatstheater Kassel he received the 2008 Kurt Hübner Director's Award (the award for young directors associated with the Eysoldt Ring ) from the Academy of Performing Arts.

For Zeller's Kasper Häuser Meer , created in 2010 at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar , he was named in the category Production of the Year in the critics' survey of the Deutsche Bühne .

Audience Award 2015 for WERTHER ( Theater Magdeburg ), Academy of Performing Arts / Week of Young Actors
