Maik Priebe

Maik Priebe (* 1977 in Schwerin ) is a German theater and film director .

Life

After graduating from the Goethe-Gymnasium Schwerin in 1996, Priebe worked as an intern, prompter , assistant director and stage manager at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin before completing his directorial studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Encounters with Martin Meltke, Peter Zadek , Christoph Marthaler , Manfred Karge and Christoph Schlingensief , among others , shaped his career. He founded the Agon Theater , which temporarily had its permanent venue in Schwerin . He realized works at the Staatstheater Kassel , the Schauspiel Essen , the Theater Ingolstadt , the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar , the Staatstheater Nürnberg , the Neuen Theater Halle , the Städtische Bühnen Münster , the Staatstheater Augsburg , the dramagraz , the Maxim-Gorki-Theater , Hans -Otto-Theater Potsdam and at the Vienna Burgtheater .

Maik Priebe also works as a guest lecturer at the School of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch" Berlin , the Academy of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig , the University of Arts in Berlin and at the Academy of Music and Theater in Rostock .

As part of the Berlin Theatertreffen 2004, he took part in the Young Stage Members' Forum.

He was a scholarship holder at Schloss Solitude in cooperation with the Staatsschauspiel Stuttgart.

In collaboration with the NDR , Maik Priebe realized various directorial work for documentaries.
