Klaus Müller (actor)

Klaus Müller (born June 11, 1961 in Bad Hersfeld ) is a German theater actor , author and illustrator .

Life

After graduating from high school, Müller first studied Catholic theology in Fulda and Munich, before switching to the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna (1988–1992) to study acting and directing.

As a drama student he made his debut at the Burgtheater . This was followed by engagements in Coburg, Halle and at the Salzburg Festival .

He has been with the Augsburg Theater Association since 1995 .

There he played in Ibsen's Peer Gynt and Büchner's Woyzeck , “Marquis von Posa” in Schiller's Don Karlos , “Creon” in Sophocles' King Oedipus , “Herr Puntila” in Brecht's Herr Puntila and his servant Matti and “Dorfrichter Adam” in Kleists The broken jug .

In 2006 he received the Augsburg Journal Theater Prize for his acting.

In 2011 he portrayed Jakob Fugger in the 2-part documentary for ZDF / arte and WDR entitled "Die Fugger". This was produced by Florianfilm GmbH.

He also works as an illustrator and cartoonist, and since 1984 he has published in around 50 books.
