Sapir Heller

Sapir Heller (* 1989 in Israel ) is an Israeli theater director living in Germany .

Life

Sapir Heller was born in Israel in 1989 and grew up there. After graduating from high school, she came to Munich in 2008 , where she was involved in a music theater project at the International Munich Art Lab (IMAL) for a year . From 2010 to 2014 she studied acting and music theater directing at the August Everding Theater Academy and was a scholarship holder of the Heinrich Böll Foundation .

Sapir Heller lives as a freelance director with her partner and their son in Munich.

During her studies in 2012, Sapir Heller staged Hanoch Levin's Thing as a German-language premiere and the play development Where is the dog? in the Reaktorhalle Munich, Astor Piazzollas Maria de Buenos Aires 2013 and James Edward Lyons For me it should rain red roses in the Theater Hof . Philoctetes after Sophocles and Heiner Müller was her graduate production in the Akademietheater in 2014 , it was also shown at the Bavarian Theatertage and at the Körber Studio Junge Regie in the Thalia Theater Hamburg .

In 2015 she staged Carl Zuckmayer's Des Teufels General in Theater Hof , in the gallery at the Pinakothek der Moderne she realized The Bieleveld Project and in the Bavarian State Opera the performance Stadt der Frauen . Other directing credits have since been at the Dresden State Theater , the Theater Augsburg , the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, the theater courtyard, the rooms Tübingen , the Landestheater Schwaben and the Munich Volkstheater shown.

At the Radikal Jung festival organized by the Volkstheater in Munich , the Amsterdam production received the undoped critics' award from the students of theater, film and television criticism at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding.
