Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta (* 1981 ) is an Australian-Maltese opera singer ( lyric tenor ).

Life

After studying singing at the Melba Conservatorium of Music in Melbourne, he made his debut at Opera Australia . From 2009 to 2010 he worked at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and from 2010 to 2017 at the Theater Augsburg .

There he sang, among others, "Alfred" in the operetta Die Fledermaus , "Gaston" in La traviata , "Steuermann" in The Flying Dutchman , "Don Ottavio" in Don Giovanni , "Werner" in Emil Nikolaus von Reznicek's Ritter Blaubart and "Florian Döblinger ”in Erich Korngold's Der Ring des Polykrates and Violanta .

Busietta also plays and sings in his own folk band Blue Macaw .

He has been a member of the Bremerhaven City Theater ensemble since the 2018/19 season .

Busietta has been married since 2010.
