Tobias Ginsburg

Tobias Ginsburg (* 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German theater director and author .

Life

Ginsburg studied dramaturgy, literary studies and philosophy at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

During his studies, Ginsburg worked as a dramaturge , directed and moderated the theater event Café Lachs on the university studio stage and assisted at various theaters. He made his debut as a writer and director in 2007 with Raped. A romantic comedy . In 2011, he wrote and staged the documentary theater play Nestbeschichtung , for which he and his dramaturges spent a year and a half researching the life, work and family of the Nazi writer Edwin Erich Dwinger . In 2012 the performance Tabu was created. A German parlor game at the Pathos Theater and the play Endlich über die Tod. A world fire followed . Ginsburg's book Die Reise ins Reich was published in March 2018 . Among imperial citizens . The book reached number 5 on the non-fiction best-list in June of the same year .

Ginsburg is a founding member of the theater group Fake to Pretend .
