Sigrun Fritsch (born September 9, 1959 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German theater director and artistic director of the PAN.OPTIKUM action theater based in Freiburg im Breisgau .

After studying politics and art in Kassel , she initially trained as a dance and gestalt therapist in Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg before joining the action theater PAN.OPTIKUM, which was then based in Berlin , in 1988 . Her work focuses on large-scale productions in public spaces as well as cross-genre theater productions, which she often develops in cooperation with other artists and institutions. Fritsch consciously crosses the genre boundaries of the individual genre traditions and develops her own productions from a depth psychological perspective.
