Type / purpose: The abbreviation “TE” stands for “Technologieerprobung”, ie testing new satellite technology ; the ◻ symbol indicates CubeSats . The size is also specified for Cubesats from 12U format. See Satellite Types for further explanation.
Failures and partial successes
- ↑ Malfunction of the third stage, the rocket did not reach orbital speed (according to IRNA , January 15, 2019).
- ↑ The rocket launched, but the satellite did not enter orbit. Details were not disclosed.
- ↑ The third rocket stage shut down early due to insufficient refueling, but the Fregat upper stage was able to compensate for this and bring the satellite into the planned geotransfer orbit .
- ↑ The rocket went off course due to a defect in the second stage attitude control .
- ↑ The Bluewalker 1 and M6P satellites were launched too late and therefore in an orbit that was too low (approx. 510 × 430 km instead of 500 × 500 km), which shortens their service life somewhat.
- ↑ Resonance disaster in the area of the third stage and payload (according to Nasaspaceflight.com , September 12, 2019).
- ↑ The rocket broke when shortly after the first stage separation the solid propulsion of the second stage burned through its upper shell (→ Falcon Eye 1 ).
- ↑ The rocket exploded on the launch site.
- ↑ The Russian Defense Ministry initially confirmed a successful launch of four satellites, but withdrew this confirmation for Blits-M 1 at short notice (according to Russian Space Web ). The US space surveillance then also cataloged an object 2019-096D , which, according to astronomer Jonathan McDowell, was a misidentification ( Twitter message from April 12, 2020). Based on this information, it is assumed that Blits-M 1 has not separated from the Bris upper stage of the rocket ( Gunter's Space Page , Twitter message from Johnathan McDowell). Accordingly, the satellite is cataloged together with the rocket stage as 2019-096E .
Further remarks
- ↑ Kalamsat was permanently attached to the kick stage of the PSLV rocket, which for the first time also functions as a satellite bus and can remain in space for a longer period of time.
- ↑ a b c d e f g h These small satellites were first brought to the ISS . As soon as they are released into space from there, they receive a Cospar ID, which is derived from the ISS ID ( 1998-067A ). These satellites may not (yet) be recorded in databases such as the NSSDC catalog . (See also: Past ElaNa CubeSat Launches )
- ↑ a b c d e f g h i The launch was successful, but the exposed payloads have not (yet) been identified; for example, because information from the operator is missing, because several satellites in similar orbits could not be differentiated, because they are too small for detection by space surveillance systems , or because they were only recently launched.
- ↑ First start of a 16U Cubesat (according to Space Daily ).
