Type / purpose: The abbreviation “TE” stands for “Technologieerprobung”, ie testing new satellite technology ; the ◻ symbol indicates CubeSats . See Satellite Types for further explanation.
Failures
- ↑ The satellite was only launched at an altitude of about 130 kilometers, well below the target orbit. On July 15, 2013, it burned up in the earth's atmosphere. (Source: Space-Track.org)
- ↑ The payload fairing did not separate from the upper rocket stage.
- ↑ After the fourth of five planned burning phases of the Bris upper level, contact with the level was lost. The satellite remained in an unusable, highly elliptical transfer orbit (according to Gunter's Space Page and Space-Track.org).
- ↑ The rocket exploded immediately after taking off.
- ↑ The engine of the third stage rocket shut down too early; the spaceship did not reach earth orbit (according to Russian Space Web ).
- ↑ Fobos-Grunt's engine did not fire; the probes initially remained in low earth orbit and burned up on January 15, 2012 in the atmosphere.
- ↑ Seven minutes after take-off, the engine of the third stage was switched off unexpectedly (according to Russian Space Web ); the satellite did not enter orbit.
Further remarks
- ↑ This small satellite was brought to the ISS and launched from there into space. Its Cospar ID is derived from the ISS ID ( 1998-067A ).
- ↑ Yinghuo-1 remained connected to Fobos-Grunt in earth orbit and therefore did not receive its own COSPAR ID. The probes would only have separated in Mars orbit.
