Shijian-11-02 (German: Exercise 11-02) is a Chinese experimental satellite.

history

The by the China Spacesat Co. Ltd., led by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation developed (CASC) satellite was 29 July 2011 at 7:42 PM UTC of a two-stage launch vehicle of the type Long March 2C from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the province of Gansu placed in low earth orbit. It should serve experimental scientific and engineering purposes as well as carry out measurement and communication tasks, whereby western observers consider it an experimental early warning satellite. The predecessors Shijian-11-01 (2009-061A), Shijian-12 (2010-027A) and Shijian-11-03 were launched on November 12, 2009, June 15, 2010 and July 6, 2011.
