Antje Thoms
Antje Thoms (* 1976 in Stralsund ) is a German director and author .
Life
After studying applied theater studies in Giessen and working as a journalist for the Giessen city magazine "Express", Antje Thoms was assistant director at the State Theater in Hanover with director Wilfried Schulz and worked with, among others, Ruedi Häusermann , Andreas Kriegenburg , Sebastian Nübling , Stefan Otteni , Luk Perceval , Elias Perrig , Nicolas Stemann and Jossi Wieler together. Since 2003 she has worked as a director at the State Theater Augsburg , State Theater Darmstadt, State Theater Braunschweig , Deutsches Theater Göttingen , City Theater Bremerhaven , Theater Basel , German Theater Berlin , State Theater Hanover , State Theater Linz , Concert Theater Bern, Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss , Saarland State Theater Saarbrücken , Schleswig -Holsteinisches Landestheater and at the Ulm Theater. Among others, she staged world premieres of Lola Arias , Sibylle Berg , Paco Bezerra, Oscar van den Boogaard, Katja Brunner , Dagny Gioulami, Jewgenij Grischkowez , Hanoch Levin , PeterLicht , Jens Nielsen, Anne Jelena Schulte, Lionel Spycher, Raphael Urweider and Michaela Leslie-Rule and Ivna Žic . Thoms is a founding member of the free Zurich theater formation training camp, which has so far carried out eight world premieres.
Since the 2014/15 season she has been in-house director at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen with director Erich Sidler .
Thoms is a member of the ensemble network, the Dramaturgische Gesellschaft (collaboration with the “Stadttheater der Zukunft” working group) and a founding member of the directing network.
