Katharina Rehn

Katharina Rehn (born 1990 in Nuremberg ) is a German theater actress.

Life

From 2010 to 2015 Rehn studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and Bochum. During her studies she played “Leah” in DNA (director: Katja Lauken ) at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and “Kassandra” in Kassandra (director: Charlene Markow ) at the Rottstrasse 5 theater . During her fourth year of study, she completed a period of work at the Berliner Ensemble under the direction of Robert Wilson .

She also worked as an actress for WDR in the picture puzzles of the show Zimmer frei! .

She had her first permanent engagement from 2015 to 2017 at the ETA-Hoffmann-Theater in Bamberg. There she worked as "Prince" in Prinz von Homburg (director: Robert Gerloff) and as "Tony" in Buddenbrooks (director: Sibylle Broll-Pape).

In 2017 she moved to the Staatstheater Augsburg as a permanent member of the ensemble and was there until 2020.

Awards

  • 2015: “Folkwang Prize 2015 - Performing Arts” for “iphigenie.menschenkind”.
