Hinrich Horstkotte

Hinrich Horstkotte (* 1972 in Bonn ) is a German set designer and director .

Life

Horstkotte grew up in Berlin . First he was a puppet player before studying set design, costume and dramaturgy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Karl-Ernst Herrmann and Ursel Herrmann , for whom he also worked as an assistant. He then worked primarily as a freelance stage and costume designer in Munich , Chemnitz , Detmold and Nuremberg , but also worked as a director, especially with the Inboccallupo Ensemble Berlin, which he founded in 1994.

In the meantime he has produced - often with his own equipment - at the Berlin State Opera , in Augsburg, Bremerhaven , Chemnitz, Dessau , Detmold, Dortmund , Halberstadt , Hof , Luxembourg , Krefeld / Mönchengladbach, Oldenburg, Saarbrücken , Taipei ( Taiwan ), at the Jyske Opera , at the Volksoper Vienna and at the Salzburg Marionette Theater as well as at festivals in Rheinsberg , Potsdam-Sanssouci and Innsbruck .

Horstkotte had lectureships at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Technical University in Berlin and gave scenic lessons at the Opera Studio of the Berlin State Opera .
