Katja Berg

Katja Berg (born August 27, 1977 in Gera ) is a German singer , musical artist and actress .

Life

From 1996 Katja Berg studied singing, dance and acting at the Berlin University of the Arts ; in 2000 she graduated with a diploma. During her training, she played Jane Finch in How to succeed in business? (Director: Peter Lund ) at the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin .

After her studies she was mainly on stage in musical productions . Berg played Rosemarie in the musical “Das Mädchen Rosemarie” at the Kiel Theater , Sheila in the musical Hair , Madame Thénardier in the musical Les Misérables and Magda in Tanz der Vampire . In 2008 Katja Berg took on the role of Scaramouche in the musical We will rock you in the Musical Dome in Cologne as the first cast . In addition, she was part of the premiere cast of the musical "Mamma Mia!" At the Operettenhaus in Hamburg in the role of Sophie . In the band without a name she worked as a background singer . Until 2010 Katja Berg was on stage as a vocal soloist in the Revue Qi - a palace fantasy in the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin and as a “walk-in cover” Scaramouche in the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart .

After a baby break, Katja Berg started business again in December 2011 with the Christmas musical of the Dresden State Operetta . In May 2012 she appeared as Eva Perón in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Evita on the stage of the Landestheater Neustrelitz . Since February 2013 she has played the roles of Courtney , Mother and Whitney in the musical Naturally Blond at the Ronacher Theater in Vienna ; there she was also seen as a stain in the concert premiere of Love Never Dies as well as in the musical The Visit of the Old Lady . In the summer of 2015 Katja Berg played the role of wet nurse in the musical Romeo and Juliet at the Thunerseespiele .
