Uli Scherbel

Uli Scherbel (born December 4, 1970 in Kronach ) is a German musical actor .

Life

After his youth in Upper Franconia (Rothenkirchen), Scherbel trained as a nurse. After graduating in 1991, he began studying musicals / shows at the Berlin University of the Arts . During his studies he was on various theater stages, B. in Dracula at the ETA-Hoffmann-Theater Bamberg, at the Dortmund Opera House as Claude in Hair and at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin in Lady be good . Before he graduated with honors as a musical performer, he had won first prize in the national singing competition for musicals. Many leading roles and engagements followed. He was seen as Joseph in Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat at the Colosseum Theater Essen.

He was also seen as Felix in the comedy on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, the comedy in Dresden and in the Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg in the production of Bewitching Fräulein . At the same time he played Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac in Klagenfurt and Robert in Baby Talk in Hagen. He also played this musical at the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin and at the Comödie Fürth. As Willi Helbing he was seen in Die Drei von der Gasstelle in the comedy at the Bayerischer Hof in Munich and in Die Drei Musketeers he played D'Artagnan at the Castle Festival in Bad Vilbel. In Leipzig he was seen again as Claude in Hair at the local opera house.

In the successful production of Cats at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and then on tour, Scherbel played several roles, Skimbleshanks , Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger . There and also at the Metronom Theater Oberhausen he could later be seen as Lumiere , Gaston and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast . He also gave several concerts with his solo program Land in Sight and released a solo CD with the same title. He gave musical concerts with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra . He played the role of Bobby Child in Crazy for you and Brad in the Rocky Horror Show at the Leipzig Musical Comedy. In July 2014 he played the role of Josef Fraunhofer in the operetta “ Mask in Blue ” at the Schönebecker Operetta Summer . This was followed in September 2014 by the “Welcome to Swing” swing concert by Stadtwerke Remscheid. In May 2015 he was one of the soloists in the tenth annual musical gala of the district youth orchestra of the city of Ludwigsburg.

He was a special guest at the big band concert "Summertime - The fascinating George Gershwin" of the Deutsche Oper Berlin with Katharine Mehrling.

He played Mephisto at the Faust Festival in Kronach in summer 2015 . In 2015/16 he again played the leading role of Bobby Child in the play Crazy for you at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater Flensburg .

Scherbel was six years as Fred in I've never been to New York at the Operettenhaus Hamburg, the Apollo Theater Stuttgart, the Metronom Theater Oberhausen, on tour (Berlin, Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Linz, Bregenz, Bremen, Essen, Frankfurt) and 2017 on stage at the Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg.

At the request of Udo Juergens, he sang An honorable house in the ZDF show Mitten im Leben, tribute for Udo Juergens on the artist's 80th birthday.

Scherbel celebrated great success with his solo program ScherbeLn bring luck with the Pavel Sandorf Bigband in several sold out concerts.

In the 2017/18 season he played the role of Hatschek in Roxy and her wonder team at the Augsburg Theater and the Josef Fraunhofer in Mask in Blue at the Baden Theater near Vienna. In the 2018/19 season Uli Scherbel was seen as Don Lockwood in Singin 'in the rain at the Schleswig-Holstein Landestheater in Flensburg. In the 2019/2020 season he took on the role of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at the Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater .

From 2008 to 2009 he worked as a freelancer and artist coach at Bayerischer Rundfunk .
