List of neighborhoods in Chiyoda district of Tokyo

This list of the districts of the Tokyo district Chiyoda enumerates all today's districts in the area of Chiyoda (Japanese Chiyoda-ku , English Chiyoda City ), Tokyo Prefecture ( Tōkyō-to , Tokyo Metropolis ) in the center of Tokyo . Only the clearly delimited areas are listed, as they are also used for postal addresses in Japan .

Most districts consist of several numbered quarters ( 丁目 , chōme ), which usually span several blocks. In some Tokyo districts, several districts are combined into one area ( 地域 , chiiki ). For historical reasons, a distinction is made between two areas in Chiyoda: The two areas of Kanda and Kōjimachi correspond to the two districts of the same name in the old city ​​of Tokyo that existed until 1947 ( Tōkyō-shi , Tokyo City ), through whose merger the district of Chiyoda was created. In 1947 most of the district names in Kanda were prefixed with Kanda- .
