The Pavel Sandorf Bigband from Middle Franconia has existed since 1987 under the direction of Pavel Sandorf. Musically, the big band moves in the broad field of classic and modern swing .
history
Pavel Sandorf studied clarinet and saxophone at the Nuremberg Conservatory . In 1987 he founded the Pavel Sandorf Bigband. Besides leading the band, he also writes the arrangements for almost all projects .
For a Frank Sinatra special, the big band accompanied the entertainer and singer Volker Heissmann in the small comedy Nuremberg in the spring of 1995 . This resulted in a long-term collaboration with various projects. Among other things, the band acted as the accompanying orchestra for Volker Heissmann and Martin Rassau on their tours through Germany, Austria and Switzerland and as a show band for the broadcast of the Bavarian Radio “That's Heiss! Man". In this context, the big band accompanied various artists such as Gitte Hænning , Hugo Strasser , Roberto Blanco , Marlène Charell , Adoro , Marc Marshall , Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross , Isabel Varell , Viva Voce and many others. The collaboration with Volker Heißmann resulted in projects with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra as well as concerts in the Stadttheater Fürth and in the Comödie Fürth .
Since 2005, the big band has framed the cult show “ Fastnacht in Franken ” as a permanent accompanying orchestra.
We have been working closely with the musical singer Uli Scherbel since 2016 in the form of concerts and musical galas.
