Gerald Fiedler

Gerald Fiedler (born 1959 in Berlin ) is a German theater actor and director.

Life

Fiedler studied until 1987 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . His first engagement was at the Kleist Theater in Frankfurt / Oder. From 1990 to 1992 he was engaged at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar and from 1993 until the closure of the Schillertheater Berlin he worked there. Then he began to work as a freelance director in Rudolstadt (Thuringia) and in Stralsund. During this time he worked as a guest actor in Weimar.

In 1997 he was hired as a director and actor to the Freie Kammerspiele in Magdeburg , where he stayed until 2001, when he went back to working as a freelance director. In 2005 he was hired as an actor at the Anhaltische Theater Dessau .

Fiedler has been a permanent actor at Theater Augsburg since the 2017/18 season .
