Economic Systems is a refereed economic journal published by Elsevier on behalf of the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies in conjunction with the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies . It appears four times a year.

history

Hans Raupach founded the magazine in 1970 as a yearbook of the economy of Eastern Europe ( Yearbook of East European Economics ) at the Eastern Institute Munich . At first it was published by Olzog Verlag . When the name changed to Economic Systems in 1991, the magazine first switched to Physica-Verlag and has been published by Elsevier since 2001 .
