Ed Burke (athlete)
Ed Burke (actually Edward Andrew Burke; born March 4, 1940 in Ukiah ) is a former American hammer thrower .
At the Olympic Games he was seventh in Tokyo in 1964 and twelfth in Mexico City in 1968 .
At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 and the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was eliminated from the qualification.
He was three times US champion (1966-1968) and once English champion (1967). In 1967 and 1968 he was US indoor weight long throw champion .
