It tells the story of the Midori and Tokio Wakatsuki siblings, whose parents were killed in a fire when they were very young. The 7-year-old Tokyo and the 3-year-old Midori are accommodated in different foster families. Thirteen years later, the now grown-up Tokyo returns to be with Midori again. But the meeting is not as easy as expected, especially since Midori has had bad experiences and is having a hard time with her recovered brother.

Characters

  • Tokyo Wakatsuki: 7-year-old Tokyo was separated from his sister after his parents died in a fire. He stayed with the family of a friend of his father's, who owns an electronics company and who enabled the boy to lead a carefree life. So Tokyo grew up in San Francisco . Having grown up, the young software developer returns to Tokyo to look for his sister and move in with her. But his sister is very closed to him. By chance he finally learns that Midori was abused by her stepbrother. When he and his friends finally rape Midori, Tokyo saves his sister. But even now she is not able to trust him.
  • Midori Wakatsuki: After the death of her parents, the young girl stayed with relatives whose daughter had recently died. Accordingly, her foster mother saw her as a daughter substitute and always called her Yuko. Midori would still cope with that, but it is worse for the girl that she is sexually molested by her stepbrother, and he even wants to abuse her (and may have already done so). Accordingly, Midori just wants to leave, but doesn't know where to go. That's why she immediately agrees when her brother picks her up. But living with him is not so easy because she doesn't trust him after her bad experiences. She also suffers from claustrophobia, fear of the dark and hot, stuffy places. In school, too, things are not going as expected, so that she is even thinking of leaving school. She has no friends there; her classmates tend to avoid her. Especially the scheming Rei always tries to bully her. Among other things, she and her schoolmates trample on the school roses that Midori loves. She only trusts the old school gardener.
  • Masamune Nikaidou: The young man is the son of Tokyo's foster parents. Tokyo and Masamune grew up like brothers in America, which is why Tokyo is very familiar to him. The slightly crazy boy, who already likes to run around as James Bond , Sherlock Holmes or Samurai , has detective skills and tracks down Midori for Tokyo. He makes sure that the girl can stay with him. Masamune finally discovers the homepage run by Midori's stepbrother, on which Midori shows nude photos.
  • Yoshitaka Hashiba: The young, shy, short-sighted student is in love with Midori, but doesn't dare to admit it to her. Nevertheless, he tries to help her wherever he can. Among other things, he erects the roses that Rei has trampled on. He also gives Midori tips on behavior, which she doesn't always listen to. Nevertheless, he wants to persuade her on a date. After many difficulties, he finally manages to win her trust.
  • Rei Miyada: The class president always seems happy and fair. But behind her facade there is an intriguer who is primarily aiming at the best-of-class Miho Oda. So she throws u. a. their schoolwork in the trash. When Midori then speaks to her in class, nobody believes her because Rei is very popular. But Midori is also on Reis' hit list. Although she looks nice in front, she really hates Midori and wants to give her a lesson.
  • Miho Oda: The prettiest of the class is a slightly naive girl who is very popular with her cheerful nature. She is also open to Midori, but does not notice that Rei Miyada is always trying to put her down.
  • Midori's step-brother (nameless): Midori's step-brother is a real villain. So he always mistreated the girl, including taking nude photos of her and posting them on the Internet. However, Midori's brother Tokyo finds out and even threatens the boy with the lawyer. But he is not intimidated and finally blackmailed Midori with the nude photos. When the desperate Midori finally closes her savings account and wants to hand him the money, he tries to rape her. Midori's brother can save her, but the girl is so desperate that she wants to throw herself in front of the train.
  • Takako: (from volume 3) The schoolgirl is in love with Yoshitaka, but she doesn't pay any attention. Takako is in possession of Midori nude photos her brother got from the Internet. Takako gives these photos to Rei. After Yoshitaka arranges a date with Midori, Rei sticks the photos on the school blackboard to discredit Midori.
  • Yukari Nikaidou: (from volume 4) Yukari is Masamune's sister and therefore grew up with Tokyo. However, she has more than sisterly feelings for Tokyo, which, however, does not suit Tokyo. Yukari even pretends to be her fiancé in Tokyo. The lively girl is even crazier than Masamune and enforces her will with violence if need be. When she shows up in Japan, she messes up Midori's life.
  • Kyoshi Nikaidou: (from volume 5) Kyoshi is the father of Yukari and Masamune. Since he wants to bring Tokyo back to America, he plans to drive a wedge between the siblings.
