Titular Archdiocese of Edessa in Osrhoëne dei Siri

Edessa in Osrhoëne dei Siri ( Italian : Edessa di Osroene dei Siri ) is a titular archbishopric that is awarded by the Pope to titular archbishops from the Syrian Catholic Church united with Rome .

It goes back to an earlier bishopric in the city of Edessa (today Şanlıurfa ), which is in the Roman province of Mesopotamia or in late antiquity Osrhoene , in today's Turkey .
