Edgar Bolz
Edgar Bolz ( February 6, 1865 in Vienna - after 1932) was an Austrian actor and director.
Life
Bolz, the son of an industrialist, took dramatic lessons against the will of his parents from 1881 to 1883 and entered the court theater in Meiningen as a young "Cato" in Julius in 1883 at the court theater in Meiningen, disregarded by the family after he had struggled without any means of subsistence Caesar took the stage for the first time.
After a brief engagement there, he came to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin in 1884, where he made his debut as “Kosinsky” in The Robbers and found his real, dramatic school, as studying roles with Adolph L'Arronge made a particular contribution to his artistic perfection. He worked there until 1889, in that year he joined the Association of the Court Theater in Braunschweig (inaugural roles "Ferdinand" and "Mortimer") and was appointed from there to the United City Theaters in Frankfurt in 1892 (inaugural roles "Don Carlos", "Gringoire" and "Hartmann" in Die Herzlosen ), and was valued for his artistic individuality and as a speaking artist - in later years Bolz also worked as a game master. In 1914 he left the ensemble.
Nothing is known about his further life up to 1932; In 1932 he appeared in three feature films, after which his track was lost again.
