Edibe Sulari

Edibe Sulari (* 1953 in Erzincan ; † July 2, 1993 in Sivas ) was a Turkish - Alevi folk singer.

Edibe Sulari was born as the youngest daughter of the popular singer Aşık Davut Suları and comes from a Seyyit family. From an early age she accompanied her father musically at events of the Alevi religious community. After training as a nurse in Erzurum , she went to Europe with her father in the 1970s. You lived in Basel and had concerts in Europe and Turkey. Edibe Sulari's own records and cassettes appeared early on.

On July 2, 1993, Edibe Sulari fell victim to the arson attack on the Madimak Hotel in Sivas . After her death, the album Başımıza Gelenleri Deftere Yazsak was released in 1994 by Özdiyar Müzik Yapim , a new edition followed in 2006.
