Edith Mastenbroek
Edith Mastenbroek (born March 23, 1975 in The Hague ; † August 23, 2012 ) was a Dutch politician .
In the 1990s, Mastenbroek belonged to Niet Nix (More than Nothing), an intra-party reform movement of the social democratic PvdA . In 2000 she supported Al Gore in the US presidential campaign . In 2004 she was elected to the European Parliament . In April 2008, however, she left for health reasons and was replaced by Jan Cremers . She died of cardiac arrest at the age of 37 .
