Everdina "Edith" van Dijk (born April 6, 1973 in Haastrecht ) is a Dutch long-distance swimmer .

With six titles in open water world championships , she is the most successful Dutch participant of all time. At the Olympic Games in 2008 , she took 14th place at the premiere over the 10-kilometer route.

Edith van Dijk became the first female open water swimmer of the year in 2005 .
