Edlunda is an island belonging to Sweden in the Stockholm archipelago .

The island belongs to the municipality of Vaxholm . Granholmen Island is to the west and Furuholmen to the east . The shipping route from the Baltic Sea to Stockholm leads north and south of Edlunda . Edlunda is mainly built with summer houses and partly wooded. The island extends from west to east for about 1.3 kilometers, with a width of up to 300 meters. The Edlunda brygga jetty is located on the north side of the island.

In the past the island was called Östra Granholmen. The name goes back to the brothers Erik and Carl Fredrik Granholm, who bought what is now Edlunda and the neighboring island of Granholmen in the 1860s. The current name Edlunda refers to the merchant Theodor Edlund (1841–1905). He bought the island in 1880 and built the first house here in 1882 with the Villa Edlunda . 1884 was the listed from Adolf Nyholm built Villa Ottarsberg . Other well-known owners of summer villas on Edlunda were Berndt August Hjorth , Sten Dehlgren and Axel Notini .

Immediately to the southeast of the island, at a depth of 3 to 10 meters, lies the wreck of a sunken ship loaded with bricks.
