Edmüller
Johann Eduard Müller ( March 16, 1810 in Berlin - December 6, 1856 there ) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Edmüller, the son of a goldsmith, was forced by his father to learn this trade too. Nevertheless, he sang at amateur theaters, where he was discovered by Louis Angely . In 1830 he took the stage at the Königsstadt Theater . Just two years later he went to Salzburg. Engagements in Mainz, Freiburg, Breslau, Bremen, Altona, Riga and Königsberg followed. In 1846 he went back to Berlin to the Königsstädtische Theater. He played there until 1851 and then went to the Krollsche Theater for another year . He then ended his stage career and devoted himself to science until he died at the age of 46.
