Edmonia Henderson (actually Jennie Katherine Edmonia Henderson , * 1900 , † 1947 ) was an American blues and gospel singer who also recorded under the name Catherine Henderson .

Henderson worked in the 1920s a. a. with Lovie Austin , Jelly Roll Morton , Tommy Ladnier and Johnny Dodds , with whom she recorded songs for Paramount and Vocalion Records , as Catherine Henderson also for Okeh Records . Her popular songs included Brown Skin Man, Traveling Blues , Georgia Grind, and Dead Man Blues . Between 1923 and 1926 she participated (as Edmonia Henderson) in six recording sessions.
