Friedrich Eduard Moriz "Fritz" von Rauch (born October 20, 1823 in Heilbronn ; † August 11, 1890 at the Kohlhof near Heidelberg ) was a German manufacturer and politician . From 1849 he headed the Rauch brothers paper mill, and from 1871 to 1890 he was chairman of the Heilbronn Chamber of Commerce and Industry . Life

Rauch was a Protestant denomination and the son of the Heilbronn paper manufacturer Moriz von Rauch and his wife Charlotte nee. Hauck, a Frankfurt banker's daughter. He had seven siblings.

From 1843 to 1846 he studied in Bonn and Berlin . In 1843 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He then worked for a year and a half in his grandfather's (maternal) banking business in Frankfurt am Main and also went to London . In 1847 he joined the Rauch brothers paper mill, which his father had built up together with his brother Adolf von Rauch . After his father's death, he and his uncle took over the management of the factory from 1849.

In 1869 he was one of the founders of the Württembergische Vereinsbank . In 1855 he was a co-founder of the Heilbronn Chamber of Commerce and Industry , in 1864 he became its vice-chairman, and from 1871 he was its chairman, which he remained until a few months before his death in 1890.

The Greater German -minded Friedrich von Rauch was not a member of the Heilbronn municipal council , only in 1870 he was elected to the citizens' committee. When the mandate holder Friedrich Eduard Mayer died in the state constituency of Heilbronn Stadt , he ran for the required replacement on May 13, 1875 without opposing candidates and was elected. Because of the insufficient number of voters, the election had to be repeated on May 19. He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies until the end of the legislature in 1876.
