Edmund Tauchner

Edmund Tauchner (born April 23, 1956 in Trattenbach ) is an Austrian chimney sweep and politician ( FPÖ ). He was a member of the Federal Council and from 2008 to 2013 a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After compulsory school, Tauchner completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and, after successfully completing a chimney sweep apprenticeship, passed the master's examination. After completing his military service in 1975, he subsequently worked as a maintenance technician for heating systems, worked as a testing body for smoke and exhaust gas measurements and completed training as an expert in building permit procedures. From 1998 to 2008 Tauchner worked as managing director.

Tauchner lives in Kirchberg am Wechsel , is married and has three children.

politics

Tauchner was elected local party chairman of the FPÖ Kirchberg am Wechsel in 1994 and has also been a member of the local council since that year. In 1998 he was elected district chairman and member of the regional party board, and since 2005 he has also been the regional party chairman's deputy. Tauchner represented the FPÖ between April 10, 2008 and April 24, 2013 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was a member of the Federal Council from October 28, 2008 to November 19, 2008.
