Edouard Heuer (* 1840 in Brügg , Canton Bern , † April 30, 1892 ) was a Swiss watchmaker .

Heuer, the child of a shoemaker, founded the Heuer watch manufacture in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura in 1860 . In 1864 he moved the company to Biel . In 1876 he founded a branch in London . From 1880 he was the first watchmaker to manufacture chronographs in series .

After the merger with the Techniques d'Avant Garde TAG group in 1985, the company was renamed TAG Heuer .
